Transportable Shade Sheds are doing their bit for our native animals, donating a shade shed to the Australian Wildlife Hospital run by Wildlife Warriors Worldwide.

Mal Brough MP is encouraging businesses to dig deep and make a donation to the not-for-profit hospital, which treats sick and injured native wildlife.

“Land clearing, dog attacks and motor vehicles are the main reasons that so many of our native animals need veterinary care,” Mr Brough said. “There are at least 70 sick and injured koalas at the hospital right now and some will need up to two years of rehabilitation before they can be released back into the wild.

“The costs involved with running a wildlife hospital are enormous and without the support of the community our native animal population will decrease until there is almost nothing left for our grandchildren,” he said.

“I congratulate Transportable Shade Sheds on their generous donation and urge other businesses to consider what assistance they can provide to the hospital. This is a way to make a direct impact on saving our koala population.”

Transportable Shade Sheds sales manager Mia Whiteoak recently visited the hospital which is located near Australia Zoo and was very impressed with the rehabilitation and surgical facilities, where more than 2000 native animals have been treated in the past year.
